Who I am . . . Who am I?

So about 2 years ago I started a little blog called Living Loving Benson.  I started the blog to allow my family and friends to join me on my trip to China to bring home our little daughter Marlo.  I loved the experience and had thought about continuing with the blog, but never followed through.  You see, life began and the blog ended.

I am the wife of John, the mom to 2 teenage boys and 2 little girls.  The kids keep us busy, like everyone else, and provide many excuses why I don't eat like I should and exercise like I intend.  You know, cuz they keep us so busy, who has time to deal with healthy choices?  So I decided that if I hop back on this blogwagon again, I can document a little bit of life for us to remember and perhaps keep me accountable for the choices I have been making - mainly the choices I should be making.

I am hopefully back on the running track.  I intend to do the TC 10 mile in October.  A race I've done before with my sister and I love.  The problem with this is that I always start running in the spring and then get going good all the way through the race.  Then I decide I'm done running and then I take some time off and continue to eat as if I were logging a good chunk of miles on my feet each week.  And then comes the holidays, the roads are no fun to run on in the winter and who actually likes the treadmill?  That's me in a nutshell.  That is exactly why I am in the position where I am!  Uggh.  I have found a few "new to me" and inspiring blogs of women who have seriously kicked exercise and eating square in the back side and I am hoping to follow in their footsteps.

The sun is shining here and it is finally spring.  Even though we still have snow in our yard. And I am about to take out that stupid jogging stroller and go for a run.  Does anyone like to run with a jogging stroller?  Seriously, they need a motor on them.  But I am still gonna do it.  And when I get home, I will be so glad I did.  I love the feeling of having a good, sweaty run done for the day.  I won't even call the jogging stroller stupid - maybe.  AND,  I may even try to not have a Diet Coke today.

So that's me, currently.  Attempting to get through each day and realizing that life is pretty great most of the time and then there are the times where it seriously is a 4 letter word.  Or more like a series of 4 letter words strung together.  But that's life, right?
